OnePlus 12 series launch: expected price, specs leaks and everything we know so far

During the much-awaited ‘Smooth Beyond Belief’ event on January 23, OnePlus is all set to officially launch its flagship OnePlus 12 series in India along with the OnePlus 12R.

Key whistleblower Abhishek Yadav’s recent leak on X provided information on the pricing details of the OnePlus 12, a day before the official launch. The leak shows that the basic version with 12 GB RAM will cost Indian rupees 150. 64,999, while the 16GB RAM model will be available at Rs. There are rumors that both variants will be available for sale in the Indian market from January 30. The leak is consistent with previous speculations, and publication is expected soon.

The OnePlus 12, which was initially launched in China last December, boasts impressive specifications. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the flagship device is equipped with a 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W SuperVOOC wired charging. The features point to a device designed for high performance and long-lasting use.


The OnePlus 12 series, which has already debuted in China, also gives a glimpse of the features that global markets can expect. The Chinese variant has a 6.82-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The display with a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels is expected to provide a stunning image.

Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which powers the device on a 5nm process for faster performance. The processor uses the Kryo 780 architecture and users can choose from a variety of memory configurations, ranging from 12GB to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The OnePlus 12 camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 64MP telephoto lens that enables 2x optical zoom. It has a 32MP front camera for selfies.

Apart from the flagship smartphone, OnePlus has also confirmed the launch of OnePlus Buds 3 TWS in India, Europe and North America on January 23. The wireless in-ear headphones feature a 10.4 mm composite diaphragm driver that provides up to 44 hours of battery life. With an IP55 protection rating, LHDC 5.0 audio support, and Bluetooth 5.3 compatibility, OnePlus Buds 3 delivers premium audio quality.
